Players
- Men - 2 Men per team
- Women - 2 Women per team
Format
- Three 2-person teams play simultaneously
- Random draw on teams at each table
- Players play 2 cutthroat games
- Winners advance to medal round
Rules
- Teams must have 2 players or be disqualified
- One team uses balls 1 - 5, another 6 - 10, and another 11 - 15
- If only two teams playing use balls 1 - 5 and 11 - 15 (Solids and Stripes)
Rack
- Rack the 1 ball at the apex of the triangle
- Rack balls 6 and 11 in the two rear corners
- Rack the remaining balls 2, 7, 12, 3, 8, 13, 4, 9, 14, 5, 10, 15
To Start
- Each team hits a ball at the same time from behind the head string
- Closest to bumper goes first (Balls 1 - 5)
- Second closest to the bumper goes second (Balls 6 - 10)
- Farthest from the bumper goes third (Balls 11 - 15)
Play
- Object is to knock out opponents' balls while protecting your own
- Alternate players each shot on 2-person team, continue shooting as long as you legally pocket a ball
- If you foul or miss, your turn ends
- If one team's balls are all pocketed, they are out of the game
- Last team with balls still on the table wins
Scratch
- One ball from each opponent's team is returned to the table
- The incoming player gets ball-in-hand behind the head string to resume play
- If scratch has been played & final shot is a scratch, game is over as no more scratches
Winning the Game
- The game concludes when only one player has balls remaining on the table
- .When game is over, the official records the winner and how many balls are left on the table
- Winner of each 2 game match advances to medals round
- 3 winning teams compete for Gold, Silver & Bronze with the same format
